Educating the Educators – Krashen Visits ILTexas
World renowned educator of language acquisition, Dr. Stephen Krashen, will be hosted by the
International Leadership of Texas on Monday, November 16, , 2015 at ILTexas High School –
Garland located at 4413 N. Shiloh Rd., Garland, TX. Following a VIP Reception honoring
education and community leaders from within the Region 10 area, Dr. Krashen’s presentation
will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Dr. Krashen has published over 485 books and articles and has delivered numerous lectures at
universities and forums around the world from Brazil to Taiwan. Krashen is an expert in
linguistics and language acquisition, which is at the core of the trilingual curriculum model
taught on all of the ILTexas campuses located in Arlington, Garland and Keller, Texas.
Dr. Stephen Krashen has embraced the concept that when learning a language, one learns a
culture. On November 16, 400 attendees will embrace the opportunity of a lifetime when they
sit in the audience and hear directly from Krashen himself on his life’s passion – language
acquisition.
Among the invitees are: Superintendents from Region 10, Language and Education Department
Heads from Dallas area colleges, Public and Charter School Educators, Parents, Graduate
Students, School Board Members, Executives and Directors of Media.
